  • Transcript Evaluations:
The Office of Admissions does not perform transcript evaluations for students attending public colleges in Texas. Prerequisite coursework for the BSN program is listed using the Texas Common Course Numbering System. Applicants attending public Texas colleges are responsible for using the The TCCNS Website to verify their coursework will be transferrable.

    Guide to Using TCCNS:
After using the dropdown box and selecting the public Texas school you attend(ed), you will find the required prerequisites we have detailed on the Nursing School website (List of Required Prerequisite Courses) in the left column. The equivalent course from your school is in the right column. For example, please review the English I/II example from Texas A&M University below. ENGL 1301 & ENGL 1302 are required for entry into UT Health San Antonio's BSN programs. Texas A&M University's equivalent course to ENGL 1301 is ENGL 103 Intro to Comp and Rhet. The equivalent course for ENGL 1302 is ENGL 104 Composition and Rhetoric.

You must earn a C or better for each required prerequisite course, and courses must be from regionally accredited schools and meet the minimum required semester credit hours.

    Out-of-State and Private College Students:
If you would like your courses evaluated, please submit an unnoficial transcript from every college you have attended. Attach each transcript as a PDF with the file name the same as the name of the school. Failure to follow these rules could result in your transcript not being evaluated.
  • How to Attach a Transcript:
When including a transcript as an attachment, you MUST name the file the completely spelt out name of the school it is from, as several unofficial transcripts do not include the name of the college on them. If you do not name your files this way, your evaluation will be delayed.
  • Attachments
Save documents as ONE attachment if possible and upload here (i.e. unofficial transcripts, course descriptions, etc.). You may also attach multiple files if necessary.
